The Cause and Effect Sensory Sound Box is a developmental application designed to enhance touch skills, primarily targeting teenagers with complex learning needs such as autism and visual impairments.

It has also been adopted by parents of young toddlers without special needs who are in the early stages of exploring touchscreen devices.

The app features twenty-four interactive scenes, each producing continuous sounds that vary in pitch or intensity as one or two fingers are moved across the screen. These auditory stimuli are complemented by vibrant abstract animations suitable for users of all ages.

Several colour palettes are available, including high-contrast options to assist visually impaired users. Customisation options include background image adjustments and the ability to overlay a live video feed from the device's camera behind the animations.

The application also offers touch-free interaction capabilities, supporting cause-and-effect switch access, as well as single-tap and sound-activated switch controls via the device's microphone.
